The completion ceremony of “Construction of Yamato Transport Seijo Branch for Yamato Transportation Co., Ltd. (tentative name)” was held.
The completion ceremony for “Construction of Yamato Transport Seijo Branch for Yamato Transportation” , which F&P designed and supervised, was held on November 21.
F&P played a key role as basic plans, basic designs, implementation designs, selection of constructors support, and took charge of construction supervision as a total project manager with the goal to build a new urban distribution center in order to integrate center stores in the South Tokyo area and improve business efficiency of Yamato Transportation Co., Ltd.
From basic plans, basic designs, and implementation designs phase, F&P used BIM*1 (Building Information Modeling) to facilitate the formation of mutual agreement among related parties based on three-dimensional models. At the same time, F&P created three-dimensional integrated models of designs, structures, and facilities, and promoted high-quality design work by enhancing the consistency of comprehensive drawings.
The site is located close to Setagaya Dori, about 10 minutes by foot from the Odakyu Line “Seijo Gakuen Mae” and is a good location for local distribution. Since the building is located in a residential district, and the slope through which the delivery vehicle passes is equipped with an outer wall and a roof. F&P also set up a disaster stockpile warehouse and a swan bakery in Setagaya-ku on the first floor, with the aim of becoming a community-based facility.
F&P hope that this facility will contribute to the social infrastructure and the regional development.
*¹ BIM is a three-dimensional model (BIM model) of a building on a computer system to create a better building。
