2025/01/06

We are pleased to announce that we have donated some of the emergency supplies from our Sendai Nagamachi Future Co-Creation Center to the Co-op Food Bank of the Co-op Tohoku Sunnet Business Federation.

The Sendai Nagamachi Future Co-Creation Center is a facility that protects the local community in times of emergency and accepts people who have difficulty returning home, and it is equipped with a wide range of food and supplies based on the concept of a reversible building®. As we regularly replace food supplies with a sufficient amount of time remaining on the expiration date, we have donated the supplies that are to be replaced to a food bank to make effective use of them.

■Sendai Nagamachi Future Co-creation Center

Sendai Nagamachi Future Co-creation Center is a disaster-proof reverse building®, which we designed and developed based on our experiences following the Great East Japan Earthquake and our desire to protect and support the lives of people in local communities.
In normal times, we will provide various services as suburban office buildings that contribute to a carbon-free society by procuring 100% renewable energy and introducing V2X systems that are compatible with electricity and hydrogen-based vehicles. On the other hand, an emergency is a local disaster prevention facility. Based on our knowledge of joint corporate disaster prevention, regional disaster prevention, and BCP with the International Institute of Disaster Science at Tohoku University, we will realize “facilities where electricity does not disappear for three days” by means of storage batteries, emergency generators, etc., and fulfil the function of temporary stay facilities that accept people who have difficulty returning home based on an agreement with Sendai City.
Through the permanent collaboration of industry, academia and government, including the tenant companies and local businesses, we aim to make this facility a place that continues to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society (SDGs).
