The completion ceremony of Mitsui Fudosan and Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate’s “MFLP・LOGIFRONT Tokyo Itabashi” was held.
The completion ceremony of Mitsui Fudosan and Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate‘s “MFLP・LOGIFRONT Tokyo Itabashi”, which F&P provides supervision services, was held on October 2, 2024.
This facility is a joint project between Mitsui Fudosan and Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate, and was planned as a multi-tenant logistics facility under the two companies’ logistics facility brands “MFLP” and “LOGIFRONT”.
F&P was involved in this project from the planning and design stage, and after the project approval, we carried out design supervision and construction supervision, providing total support up to the completion of the building.
The planned site is the former Tokyo Works of Nippon Steel Corporation in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo, and is a highly rare location in the city, being within walking distance of the Nishi-dai Station on the Toei Mita Line and Ukima-fukado Station on the JR Saikyo Line, and around 2.3 km from the Nakadai Interchange on the Metropolitan Expressway. The surrounding area also has a large population, which is advantageous for securing employment.
This facility was planned as a facility that would support the risk management response of Itabashi-ku in the event of flooding, including the acceptance of local residents in the event of flooding, the development of a high ground plaza and storage warehouses, etc., based on the development policy of the “Funado 4-chome South District Plan” implemented by Itabashi-ku, and it has the function of an emergency temporary evacuation area in the event of flooding. In addition, a field for drone flights that makes use of the vast grounds, and a R&D area for lease to drone operators, etc., in part of the warehouse space, have been prepared, and by providing a place for demonstration experiments such as last-mile delivery by drone and transportation of relief supplies in the event of a disaster, it will contribute to the development of new industries.
We hope that this facility will play a role in the social infrastructure and continue to develop as a facility that contributes to the local community for many years to come.
