Announcement of the Signed Local Disaster Cooperation Agreement with Miyagi COOP (Sendai Nagamachi Future Co-Creation Center)
Fukuda and Partners Co., Ltd. (Head Office: 7-2, Koami-cho, Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Tetsuya Fukuda, President and CEO) signed a basic agreement on local disaster cooperation with the Miyagi Consumers’ Co-operative Society.
About Sendai Nagamachi Future Co-Creation Center
The Sendai Nagamachi Future Co-Creation Center is a disaster-prevention type reversible building designed and developed by Fukuda and Partners based on the “experience” of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the “desire” of protecting and supporting the lives of local people.
In conventional times, we will provide a variety of services as a suburban office building that contributes to a decarbonizing society through the procurement of 100% renewable electricity and the introduction of V2X systems for electric and hydrogen vehicles.
On the other hand, in case of an emergency, it will turn to a local disaster prevention facility. Based on the knowledge of joint research on corporate disaster prevention, regional disaster prevention, and BCP with the International Research Institute of Disaster Science, Tohoku University, the electricity at the facility will last for three days with storage batteries and emergency generators, and furthermore, based on the agreement with Sendai City, we can accommodate locals as a facility that accepts people who have difficulty returning home.
Through the permanent co-creation of “industry, academia, and government” with the participation of tenant companies and local companies, we aim to continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society (SDGs).
