The groundbreaking ceremony of Aeon Next Preparation Co., Ltd.’s “Aeon Next Honda CFC New Construction”, which F&P provided project management service, was held on April 14, 2021.　　

　　

The facility will be constructed as the first CFC (Customer Fulfillment Center) of “Next-Generation online supermarket” at Honda, Midori-ku, Chiba, through a business alliance between Aeon Next Preparation Co., Ltd. and Okado Solutions based in the U.K.

As part of our project management, we have been conducting site evaluations, basic plans, and design supervision since the beginning of the project, while we advance the project.

This facility will be the first state-of-the-art CFC facility utilizing Ocado‘s robotics technology in Japan. This is a highly difficult project to implement while complying with Japanese laws and earthquake resistance standards to the standards of Ocado facilities developed worldwide.

Due to the corona pandemic and travel restriction, we frequently held remote meetings with Okado in the U.K. to overcome the situation and are thrilled to be able to meet this day. We would like to express our gratitude to Chiba City, Aeon, Okado, Taisei, and all other parties for their efforts. F&P will continue to strive to meet the facility operation as scheduled.
