The construction of “Prology Park Sendai Izumi 2” , a special logistics facility (BTS type) for Prologis and Yamato Transport in Sendai has completed.

The “Prology Park Sendai Izumi 2” for Prologis, Inc. and Yamato Transport Co., Ltd., which F&P provided construction supervision service, has completed on September 27.

　The project site is located in the “Izumi Parktown Industrial Distribution Park” in Akedori, Izumi-ku, Sendai-shi, Miyagi. A large number of companies are clustered around the site. It has good access to Tohoku Expressway and is a good location for a logistics center.

The facility was developed as a BTS type logistics facility, and is a logistics facility that maximizes the work efficiency of Yamato Transport. In order to meet the needs of Yamato Transport, F&P installed large-scale materials handling equipment, vertical conveyors, and dock levelers, which provide flexible space and improve operational efficiency. The first-floor double-sided berth (compatible with 45-ft trailers) has been used for the approach of carrying in/out vehicles to achieve efficient storage and retrieval operations. F&P adopted an earthquake-proof structure as a BCP measure to prevent tenants from getting damaged by large-scale earthquakes and to continue operating as a logistics hub. By appropriately arranging disaster prevention and fire extinguishing equipment such as emergency power generation equipment, F&P has also took fire prevention and prompt initial fire extinguishing activities under consideration.

　F&P sincerely hope that the facility will contribute to the improvement of logistical efficiency to a variety of companies, and to the development of local communities.
