The completion ceremony of “RYOBI MYANMAR DISTRIBUTION SERVICE DC PROJECT” for Ryobi Holdings Co., Ltd., which F&P provided project management service, was held in Myanmar on June 12, 2018.

The construction site is located in Thilawa Industrial Zone, adjacent to Thilawa Port (river port) located 20km to the southeast of Yangon city. It is a large scale industrial park, jointly developed by the Myanmar and the Japanese government, and the area is designated as the “first” Special Economic Zone (SEZ), fully equipped with surrounding infrastructures such as an electric power plant.

With an air conditioning system using ammonia refrigerant thus restricting CO2 emissions, the frozen/chilled warehouse of this facility received funding from the subsidiary enterprise of Ministry of the Environment (Joint Crediting Mechanism Program).

F&P managed the basic planning, basic design, selecting architects/constructors, design and supervision, and construction supervision. At the selecting constructor phase, we have managed to prevent additional work after construction contract and at the constructional phase, we minimized the additional work by coordinating specification of additional change requests while maintaining function and quality at the same time.

We are proud to be a part of this project and hope this new center will contribute to further development of Ryobi Holdings Co., Ltd. F&P aims to contribute to the development of Myanmar infrastructure by developing high quality facilities.
