The groundbreaking ceremony of Mitsui Fudosan and Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate’s “MFLP･LOGIFRONT Tokyo Itabashi” was held.

The groundbreaking ceremony of Mitsui Fudosan and Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate‘s “MFLP･LOGIFRONT Tokyo Itabashi”, which F&P provides the design and construction supervision services, was held on January 26, 2023.

The site is located in Itabashi-ku,Tokyo, and is a 10-minute walk from Nishidai Station on the Toei Mita Line. It is convenient for employees to commute to the site.

Approx.1.06 million people live within a 5-kilometer area of the site, which is an advantage in recruiting employees for the logistics facility. In addition, it is suitable for deliveries to central Tokyo as it is only about 2.7 km from the “Nakadai” exit on the Metropolitan Expressway Route No. 5 Ikebukuro Line.

For the site, Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate acquired the former site of Nippon Steel’s factory on June 30, 2021, and carried out administrative discussions to contribute to improving the disaster prevention in the Itabashi ward community. Furthermore, Mitsui Fudosan joined in the project, F&P is responsible for design and construction supervision.

Mitsui Fudosan and Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate have signed a “Four-Party MOU for the Development of Disaster Prevention Facilities” with Itabashi-ku and Yamato Transport Co.,Ltd..

The facility is designed to function as a temporary evacuation facility in the event of flooding, which is based on the development policy of Itabashi-ku.
The hill square inside the site can also be utilized as a helipad for emergency landing.
Yamato Transport will be the tenant of the facility, which will be a storage and delivery point for relief supplies in the event of a disaster.

F&P will contribute to this project for completion in September 2024.
